A valid passport and student visa are required to visit Bolivia.

Passport Requirements:

Original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay in Bolivia, with at least two blank passport pages available for Bolivia visa stamps. Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for Bolivia visas.

Bolivia Visa Application Form:

The Consulate of Bolivia has instituted a web-based visa application form. Please log onto the consular website to download the visa application form. Details can be found at http://www.boliviawdc.com/visas-en. Choose the appropriate visa type for which you are applying and fill in all application fields. The completed application must be printed and submitted with all other application documents.

Photo Requirements:

Two recent, identical, 2 x 2 passport photographs, in color, front view and with a plain/light background.


OR - you can upload a photo when you place your order, instead of providing physical passport photos.

Letter Of Acceptance:

You must provide a letter of acceptance from the college or university you will be attending. The letter must:
- Include student's full name as listed in his or her passport.
- Outline the full dates of study.
- Provide details of the student's accommodations during the course of study.
- Include details on the courses which the student will be undertaking.
- Be signed and dated on official school letterhead paper.

Academic Qualifications:

You must provide the following academic documents which must be legalized by the Consulate of Bolivia: (1) diploma, (2) school transcript, (3) copy of the student exchange agreement or interagency agreement between the academic institutions. You must also provide a certified copy of or original acceptance letter issued by the school where you will be studying in Bolivia.

Proof of Travel Arrangements:

Computer generated flight itinerary from the airline or a travel agency or copy of airline ticket showing entry and departure from Bolivia. The name on the ticket must match the name on the passport.

Criminal Record:

An original, notarized police report or good conduct record provided by local police department carrying the official stamp or seal

Miami: You must provide a letter of clearance issued by the FBI. A local police report is not accepted.

Medical Requirements:

A copy of your medical report is required. The medical report must be issued by a licensed physician who must sign each copy and must certify that the applicant is free of any contagious disease (must include an ELISA analysis for HIV). The license number and address of the physician should appear on each copy. Medical reports should be used within three months from the date of issuance.

Proof of Sufficient Funds:

Evidence of sufficient funds. Your financial details must:
- Include a copy of your most recent bank statement or credit statement. The statement must show the available proof of funds for international travel.
- Display your name as it appears in your passport.
- Minors must provide a copy of their parent's bank or credit card statement.
