Yes - A visa is required for travel to Bolivia

A valid passport and humanitarian visa are required to perform missionary work in Bolivia.

Passport Requirements:

Original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay in Bolivia, with at least one blank passport page available for Bolivian visa stamp. Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for Bolivia visas.

Bolivia Visa Application Form:

One visa application form per applicant properly completed and signed. Signature must be original on each application.

Photo Requirements:

One recent 2 x 2 passport type photograph, in color, front view and with a plain/white background.

Other Forms:

Notarized certificate of membership issued by the religious or organization to which the applicant belongs properly translated.

Official Invitation:

Letter from religious or organization branch indicating that it is a member of the religious or organizational entity registered with the Bolivian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Business Cover Letter:

Letter from host or sponsoring organization in the US, on organization’s letterhead, introducing the applicant, indicating the applicant’s status/position held in the company, clearly stating the purpose and dates of travel to Bolivia. The letter must also indicate who will be financially responsible for the applicant and must provide detailed contact information in Bolivia.

Proof of Travel Arrangements:

Computer generated flight itinerary from the airline or a travel agency or copy of airline ticket showing entry and departure from Bolivia. Note: Itinerary must clearly list first and last name, if using group itinerary, each person/traveler, must be listed and highlighted)

Criminal Record:

Washington, DC: Good Conduct Certificate obtained from the Police Department.

Medical Requirements:

Miami Jurisdiction International certificate of vaccination against yellow fever is required.

Proof of Sufficient Funds:

Evidence of sufficient funds to support stay in Bolivia, most recent bank statement.
